梁皖妮越是这样沉默着，肯越是着急。

他不停地问：“What's up? ”

梁皖妮放下双手，十指交叉，胳膊肘撑在桌子上。

整理了一下思绪，她说：“I suspect that it was Jane who said something about me in front of Mr Smith that made Smith suspicious of me. Besides, Jane seems to have something on Smith.”

肯更加惊讶了：“Why do you think so? At least Jane is one of your best friends.”

梁皖妮说出了自己的推断：“While performing in China, several Chinese actors invited me to dinner. Jane was the first to know. She explained the situation to others. From the next day, the fellow students around me looked at me strangely and were indifferent to me. Smith doubted me because I had dinner with Chinese actors.”

梁皖妮再回忆了一下，继续说：“Jane hasn't answered my phone since a few weeks ago. The last time we met, she looked very angry. She said I took her heroine. Smith didn't want me to play the heroine. He offered Jane to play the black swan in Swan Lake. But Jane suggested that she should play both the White Swan and the black swan. She pressed step by step. I felt that Smith was a little afraid that she would reveal something that could not be made public.”

听完这么一系列推论，肯已经不只是惊讶了。

但是他还是很谨慎地问：“Are you sure?”

“This is just my inference. Maybe I misunderstood them.”

“Yes, you misunderstood us, especially Miss Stephens.”

梁皖妮话音刚落，加文的声音又在旁边响起。
