第七幕·九

梁皖妮听了，想了半晌，还是疑惑地摇了摇头：“I don't know who you're referring to.”

珍妮特拿出工作室员工的个人资料表，翻到了一个叫Penny Sheffield的人的资料。

梁皖妮看了眼资料，为难地说：“She hasn't been here long and often asks for leave. I was ready to fire her.”

珍妮特却告诉她：“She is a competitor.”

梁皖妮又是疑惑地摇了摇头。

珍妮特从包里拿出一张照片：“Jane Green. She's Jane Green's agent.”

梁皖妮接过照片，嗫嚅着：“Jane and I... We used to be besties. But... Why is she still snooping into my life?”

“She always sees you as a competitor, even though you don't mean to threaten her and she doesn't have the ability or qualifications to compete with you. So, I think we should win Penny over.”

梁皖妮还是谨慎：“If I take away her agent, she'll only resent me more.”

珍妮特笑了笑：“But we still need Penny. She must still have a lot of secrets.”

第二天，梁皖妮把潘妮叫到自己面前。

她的手里拿着潘妮的资料，似是在仔细研究着。

空气一片死寂。潘妮虽受过专业的培训，镇定自若，时间久了，仍免不得七想八想的。

从她卧底以来，只不过是在个打杂的，哪里需要就去哪里，在梁皖妮面前也没露过几次面。

她想不明白，梁皖妮怎么就突然盯上她了呢？

过了许久，梁皖妮放下潘妮的资料，从抽屉里拿出一本相册。

那本相册里，全是大学时期梁皖妮和简一起拍的照片。

那是两人还稚气未脱，满脸单纯。她们开心地拍照时，全然没有预料到她们以后的关系会变得那么糟糕。

“Do you know her?”梁皖妮把相册推到了潘妮面前。

潘妮紧张地咽了口口水：“Jane Green?”

梁皖妮拿回相册：“Her name was Jane Stephens back then.”

潘妮尴尬地笑着：“I'm sorry. I don't know anything about her before she got married.”
