梁皖妮很平静地笑着说：“I thought I kept you waiting.”

莉迪娅热情地拥抱着梁皖妮：“Oh, Wonnie, What are you doing here?”

“To sign the contract. ”1

莉迪娅想当然地以为是做演员的合同：“Congratulations, dear! ”1

加文对莉迪娅说：“Sorry, Ms White. Leung and I have something to deal with.”

莉迪娅却笑着说：“It's okay. I'm not an outsider.”1

梁皖妮则对加文说：“I've made up my mind. Let's make a quick decision.”1

加文有点尴尬地把二人请进了办公室。1

落座后，加文拿出合同，道：“So, does Miss Leung have any opinions on the contract?”1

梁皖妮一笑，轻轻摇了几下头：“Sorry, I can't accept it.”

莉迪娅感觉奇怪了：“Why？What does the contract say?”

她一把抓起合同，“stage manager”这两个单词映入她的眼帘。

“What?”莉迪娅震惊了。“I thought it would be an actress's contract.”1

加文向她解释：“Miss Leung's performance is always wonderful. But the problem is, it seems that Miss Leung doesn't want to join Old Vic. ”1

梁皖妮克制住自己站起来争论的冲动：“Of course I do. It has always been my dream. But you don't trust me at all. ”

莉迪娅奇怪了：“What happened?”1

加文不想把事情闹大了，他开始打圆场：“It is a misunderstanding. I'm sorry, Miss Leung. Could we talk about the contract again?”

不明所以的莉迪娅听了，以为真的没事了。

她拍了拍梁皖妮的肩膀，说：“You should negotiate the contract with him first. I'll have good news for you later.”1

听到这里的加文，脸上又露出了尴尬的神色。1

虽然莉迪娅没说是什么好消息，但加文通过梁皖妮到来之前他和莉迪娅的对话，已经知道是什么了。

就在前一天，肯把为梁皖妮量身打造的剧本给莉迪娅过目了。1
