Dear friend,

Welcome to Hebei University of Engineering! I’m glad to introduce our university to you.

Our university lies in Handan, a historic city famous for Chinese idioms. The campus is large and beautiful. We have modern teaching buildings, well-equipped laboratories, a big library and green open spaces. It is a wonderful place for study and leisure.

Our school motto is “Chong De Shang Shan, Jing Gong Zhu Xin”, which can be interpreted as Uphold virtue, pursue goodness; Seek craftsmanship, forge innovation. It encourages us to be moral people and keep careful, creative in engineering study. This motto always inspires me to be responsible and keep exploring new knowledge.

Our school has a history of more than 70 years. It was formed in 2003 by combining four local colleges with long traditions. For decades, it has kept growing and developing.

As a key university in Hebei Province, it has made great achievements in water conservancy, architecture, medicine and agriculture. It has trained more than 200,000 graduates for our country.

I hope you will enjoy your exchange time here. If you have any questions, feel free to tell me.

Yours sincerely,
