落恋（一个随笔，可跳，）

The wind has not yet died down,

那风还未落，

Blow again, blow again.

再吹再吹，

Summer sunlight spills into the church,

夏季的阳光洒入了教堂，

the cross hanging in its center.

中央挂着的十字架，

A girl smiles with her hands folded in prayer,

一个女孩用祈祷的姿势在笑，

Drip-drop.

滴答，

The bell on the clock tower rings,

钟楼上的钟在响，

voices echo throughout the church.

教堂里也有声，

The crowd shouts,

人们喊着，

"Slay this witch!"

杀了这女巫，

"Kill this monster!"

杀了这妖物，

The wind keeps blowing,

风还在吹，

and the girl can no longer draw breath.

那个女孩不会了呼吸。

The townsfolk cheer loudly,

他的人在欢呼，

only two young men stand apart from the crowd,

只有外围的两个少年，

one gripping the other's wrist tight.

一个被另一个扣着手腕，

Tears well up and redden both their eyes.

他们都红了眼眶。

People think the sunlight is mild and perfect,

人们觉得这阳光正好温和，

yet the boy feels a cold chill that calls for an extra coat.

那少年却觉得该添件衣，

Let us leave, the farther the better,

走吧走的越远越好，

head out to the open sea.

去到海上，

Sail alone, carrying those soaked, damp memories.

乘着孤帆带着那一片已是湿润的回忆。

Flee from this place,

离去吧，

the boy never got the chance to say he loved her.

少年没来得及说我喜欢，

the girl could never voice her fondness either.

少女不能说我喜欢。

Waves rage fiercely out on the sea,

海上浪大了，

bright sunlight blurs their vision,

阳光晃着眼，

they drift down just like fallen leaves,

就这样像叶子飘下，

sinking into the seawater.

入海，

drowning first,

先沉溺，

then floating upward once more,

再飘起，

never to speak another word again,

不会再说话，

never to grieve or hurt again.

不会再伤心。

Drip-drop.

滴答，

Let the creatures of the deep sea sink their teeth into her,

请让其被水里的生物咬进口里，

dissolve her down to the seabed,

消化入底，

drag her into the dark depths,

沉入深处，

drag her into an endless dream,

进入梦里，

where she shall never wake again.

永远不会醒。
