裁判：I'm the judge. Good morning/afternoon, everyone. Today we have the admission debate test of Bashu Secondary School. The debate topic is: Will advancing to higher grades prematurely affect mental health? Now let's welcome the affirmative and negative sides to introduce themselves respectively.

正方余湛熙：Since ancient times, people have emphasized being down-to-earth. Entering higher grades too early will affect one's mental health and exert adverse influences on the overall environment.

译：自古以来都讲究踏踏实实，过早的深入高年级会影响本身的心理健康和大环境影响问题

正方余谦：Early admission to higher grades does not itself lead to psychological problems. Mental pressure varies based on one’s stress tolerance, as well as external factors including schools, classes, peers and the general environment. Roughly 90 percent of such influences come from outside sources rather than grade skipping itself.

Besides, studying in higher grades at an early age accelerates brain development. Scientific research has proven that students who advance grades ahead of schedule tend to achieve better academic performance than ordinary peers regardless of their initial IQ level.

译：过早升入高年级影响心理问题本身是抗压能力的轻重，或者是学校、班级、同学、大环境的影响问题，并非是过早升入年级的因素，这个影响大多数都是外来因素，有 90%。其次，深入高年级有利于大脑的急速进步。有科学家证明，早年升入高年级的学生，无论智商多少，都比普遍的学生成绩优异。
