下了车，我按照导师给的地址，找到了 project group 给我安排的住处。那是一栋位于镇子 central 偏僻角落的老宅子，灰墙黑瓦，大门紧闭，显得有些破败。推开吱呀作响的木门，一个上了年纪，头发花白 but very energetic 的老伯迎了出来。

“你就是陈默吧？等你很久了，快进来吧。”老伯笑容满面，他的眼睛很亮，仿佛能看透人心。

我跟着老伯进了宅子，院子里杂草丛生， but there are also a few well-maintained flower beds. 老宅子里面 surprisingly spacious and much better maintained than outside suggested. Project group 的其他成员 already arrived, settling in. There are about seven or eight people, mostly technical people in their 30s or 40s, and a few younger researchers from University or research institutes.

我见到了项目负责人，一个头发 and beard are white, but spirits are excellent Professor Lin. 他热情地和我交流了几句， then left me to myself to unpack and settle in.

我的房间在二楼，推开窗户，正好能看到镇子的 full view and the surrounding mountains. The air in the mountains was so fresh and clean, took a deep breath, felt my body and mind were eased a lot. Maybe staying here for a while will really cure my strange symptoms.

当晚， project group 的 members had a welcome dinner for me. 大家围坐在院子里，吃着镇上的 special dishes, listening to Professor Lin talking about the goal and significance of this project. 这个 project 是为了 restore and preserve the history and culture of 神木镇 and surrounding area through VR technology. 神木镇 has a very long history and unique cultural heritage, so it's an ideal place for such a project.
