A Friend in Need

In a small village, there lived two boys, Max and Sam. Max was strong and loved to play outdoors. Sam was a bit shy but very smart. They had been friends since they were little.

One day, they went exploring in the forest near the village. As they walked deeper into the forest, they got lost. The sun was starting to set, and the forest was getting darker. Max began to feel worried. He looked around, not knowing which way to go.

Sam, however, stayed calm. He remembered reading about using the stars to find directions. He told Max not to panic. "Look, Max," Sam said, pointing at the sky. "That's the North Star. If we follow it, we can find our way back to the village."

Max was still scared, but he trusted Sam. They walked slowly, following the direction of the North Star. After what seemed like a long time, they finally saw the lights of the village in the distance. Max was so relieved.

He hugged Sam tightly and said, "Sam, you're the best friend ever! I was so scared, but you saved us with your knowledge."

From that day on, Max and Sam's friendship grew even stronger. They learned that in a friendship, each person has their own strengths. Sometimes, when one is in trouble, the other can use their special skills to help. And true friends always stick together through thick and thin.

患难见真情

在一个小村庄里，住着两个男孩，马克斯和山姆。马克斯身体强壮，喜欢在户外玩耍。山姆有点害羞，但非常聪明。他们从小就是朋友。

一天，他们去村庄附近的森林里探险。当他们往森林深处走去时，迷路了。太阳开始落山，森林变得越来越暗。马克斯开始感到担忧，他环顾四周，不知道该往哪走。

然而，山姆保持冷静。他记得读过可以利用星星来辨别方向。他告诉马克斯不要惊慌。“看，马克斯，”山姆指着天空说，“那是北极星。如果我们跟着它走，就能找到回村庄的路。”

马克斯还是很害怕，但他信任山姆。他们慢慢地走着，朝着北极星的方向前进。似乎过了很久，他们终于看到了远处村庄的灯光。马克斯如释重负。

他紧紧地抱住山姆说：“山姆，你是我有史以来最好的朋友！我当时害怕极了，但你用你的知识救了我们。”

从那天起，马克斯和山姆的友谊更加深厚了。他们明白了，在一段友谊中，每个人都有自己的长处。有时候，当一方遇到困难时，另一方可以运用自己的特殊技能来提供帮助。而真正的朋友总是会同甘共苦，不离不弃。
