Poison is a filler episode for Rainimator's Fractures series. It uses the WE ARE FURY and Derek Joel song of the same name. It is the sequel to Nightmares, focusing on Kane and Abigail's search for Lance.

Synopsis

To spare his dying partner, Kane strikes a truce with the Nether Princess, promising to protect her title. Together, they ride to the Swamp Lands in search of the Rogue Ender Mage, an enemy of the Nether Kingdom.

Plot

Kane has a small fight with Abigail Crysteffor, but is no match for her. He yields and says he is only here to save Ciara, and asks her to forget about what happened. However, Abigail points out the fact that Ciara had killed many Piglins that were under her care, refusing to budge. Kane attempts to strike a truce with the Nether Princess to find Lance, the Rogue Ender Mage. Abigail becomes alarmed at Kane's statement, as even the Nether generals don't know who he is, let alone his name. Kane says that Lance will raid the Nether as an attempt to redeem himself, so that he could possibly be let back into the Ender Watchers. Abigail agrees to let Kane and Ciara go if he helped her defeat Lance. Kane tells Abigail to meet him at the Netherbane Tavern while he brings Ciara's body back.

After putting Ciara down to rest, they travel through the Swamp Lands to find the Swamp Castle, where Lance is located. While the duo is camping out for a break, they encounter the Man-Dragon, the apex hunter in the Swamp, threatening to attack them. After a rough battle, they eventually reach the Swamp Castle, and they enter it.

As soon as they go in, Lance shuts the gate and reveals himself and the Ender Frog. As the two brace, the frog shoots an Arcane Beam at Kane, knocking him away and separating him from Abigail through Lance summoning a wall between them. While Kane fights several Vexes, Abigail fights Lance, being forced to use her full power to face him. After stabbing him with her spear, Lance casts a spell that sends them both to an illusionary dimension, casting a shield on himself as well.

Set within Glacierford prior its fall to the Undead, Abigail is left in her form prior to the events of Begin Again, a normal human girl, minus the white eyes. Abigail sees Rain running towards her, causing her to smile gently in joy, before "Rain" turns into Lance and knocks her away. Meanwhile, Kane defeats all the Vexes, breaks through the wall and finds Lance in a magic shield and Abigail fainted. He places a Vex's archery set on Abigail, collects the poison on the Ender Frog with an arrow, and stabs himself in the chest with it, giving him an Ender Eye and entering Lance's Dimension to fight him.

Lance comes close to overpowering Kane after a short fight, but Abigail obtains the bow and a few arrows she touched in the real world and shoots at Lance, hitting him. Lance attempts to use a Totem of Undying, but Abigail shoots it out of his reach. As he tries to pick it back up, Kane jumps on him and knocks him out with his bare hands. After defeating Lance, Abigail warns Kane about a covenant's kindred, a beast who will grow tremendous power, and asks him to stop her, going back to the Nether through a portal and deserting Kane, who now has to walk back to his tavern.

This is the longest episode of Fractures on Rainimator's channel, to date, surpassing Nightmares at a length of seven minutes.[1]

This is also the first episode that has both an intro and outro scenes.[2]

This is the second episode to use a song by WE ARE FURY, preceded by Nightmares.

This marks the debut of Lance - the second confirmed member of the Enderkin.

This episode is the first to have Wither Skeleton Horses present in the video.

While the Fractures Trailer had a Wither Skeleton Horse, the trailer is non-canon.

The Man-Dragon also made its debut in this particular episode.

This episode was released 1 day and 1 month after Nightmares.

It is revealed the Nether Star gives its owners vague prophetic dreams, a form of Mentokinesis.

Part of the fight scene between Abigail and Lance may be a reference to the Catra vs Shadow Weaver and Princess Glimmer fight in the She-Ra and the Princesses of Power episode "Moment of Truth".
