Chapter 2

Soon the storm came and brought the rain. The rain beat on the windows ，screaming.

The flame danced crazily on the candle, and the wax oil trickled down silently

Lily whispered.

Mother was still busy with the household chores. The harsh noise made Lily anxious.

Lily shouted

Mother looked at her helplessly and there was no response.

Lily stared at her in a negative mood，saying nothing.

Mother didn't continue.

Suddenly, a flash of lightning appeared in the sky, followed by thunder. There was torrential rain outside, and the wind sounded like ghosts

Mother lingered anxiously in the house. She put her head out of the window to see if Father came back

However, it was dark outside and nothing could be seen

Suddenly, the door was pushed open with a great force, and a dark shadow appeared in front of the mother and daughter
